| Damiani Wine Cellars |
Located on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY, Damiani Wine Cellars produces elegant, hand-crafted wines in an old world style. Winemaker Lou Damiani and grape grower Phil Davis are forging a reputation within the Finger Lakes, marking it as a region capable of producing full-bodied vinifera red, and beautiful white, wines. Together, Lou and Phil nurture approximately 23 acres of Vinifera vines surrounding the winery. Grapes are hand-picked in small batches to ensure peak ripeness, and healthy canopy management ensures both quality of grapes and stronger, better adapted vines. |

The Country Fair Comes to the RhinePresented by The History Center in Tompkins County and the Waterfront District Association of Ithaca, the West End Waterfront Festival is a community celebration on Inlet Island and the surrounding area. Visitors will immerse themselves in the rich and fascinating history of the area once referred to as ‘the Rhine,’ ‘the Flats,’ or even ‘Sodom.’ This unique event begins with a day-long community celebration with music, arts and crafts, theatrical performances, old-fashioned games for kids, fortune tellers and belly dancers. The public will be invited to try and solve a mystery which unfolds in scenes throughout the day; and one lucky sleuth will receive a very special prize. At night, Old Taughannock Blvd, aka: ‘Moonshine Island’ will come alive with speakeasy parties, music, vaudeville performances, costume parties, and games of chance. |

| The AppleUmpkin Festival |
The AppleUmpkin Festival had its humble beginnings in 1986, the brainchild of one of our most creative residents, Mrs. Willa Bishop. Her objective was to bring the residents of the Town of Middlebury together to celebrate the harvest. Since apple orchards and pumpkin patches abound, Mrs. Bishop came up with the name "AppleUmpkin!"Early festivals were small and engaging, anticipated and attended by residents of the Town of Middlebury, the Village of Wyoming and the Dale Valley. Houses were decorated in honor of a plentiful harvest, music and dancing filled the otherwise quiet streets, and people of all ages came together for a grand celebration of the harvest! We invite you to revel in the final golden days of summer along gaslit streets lined with hundreds of craft vendors, strolling entertainers and the mouth-watering aromas of delectable festival treats! |
